Anjaneri Hills & Fort (Birthplace of Lord Hanuman)

Anjaneri Village, Trimbak Road, Nashik 422213

About this Destination

Anjaneri Hill derives its sacred name from Goddess Anjani, mother of Lord Hanuman, and is revered across Hinduism as the holy Janmasthan (birthplace) of Maruti/Hanuman. Standing tall at 4,264 feet above sea level, it is one of the highest peaks in the Trimbak range. The scenic trek begins at Anjaneri base village and takes approximately two hours to reach the plateau. Along the trek, climbers encounter ancient Jain and Hindu rock-cut cave sculptures, freshwater mountain springs, and the revered Anjani Mata and child Hanuman temple at the peak. During the monsoon, the mountain features the famous "Reverse Waterfall" phenomenon.
