About this Destination

Muktidham is one of Nashik’s premier pilgrimage landmarks, located just two kilometres from Nashik Road Railway Station. Built with private philanthropy from Sri J.D. Chauhan Byty, the temple is constructed out of pure white Makrana marble—the very same marble used in the Taj Mahal. The unique highlight of Muktidham is that it houses exact size and orientation replicas of all 12 sacred Jyotirlingas of India, consecrated to allow devotees to perform the complete 12-Jyotirlinga darshan under a single roof. The interior walls are artistically engraved with all 18 chapters and 700 verses of the Bhagavad Gita.
